Hello!
I want to tell you about my experience.
Well, I joined the Language Exchange event today.
Actually, it was third time on the event.
I met several people there.
And I heard a very interesting thing today.
There was a man who came from Ireland.
He said there is a folklore in Ireland.
It's strangely similar to a Japanese tell " Urashima-Taro"
The story is like this.
There is a man.
He met a very beautiful lady on a horse
She want him to go with her.
So the man ride on the horse and they went under the sea to her land.
In the land they don't get old.
It's the land of youth.
There, the man spend quite long time. About three hundred years?
He was very happy there with the beautiful woman.
But he got homesick.
So he said to the lady he want to go home.
At first she didn't like it.
Though reluctantly she decided let him go.
When the man left the land on a horse, the lady warned him one thing.
"Don't touch the ground wile on your way to home."
On his way the man met a old man.
He want to help him. When he stretched his arms to the old man, he fall on to the ground.
He lost his forever youth. He became a old man and died.
It's the story I heard.
He (the man who came from Ireland) said the tell was 500 years old.
At that time Japan was far from Ireland.
But both country had similar story.
Isn't it interesting?
I was so curious.
I checked about the folklore on the web and found those.
There are little bit difference from my story. But it's not a problem.
Because it is the folklore.
The title is The Land of youth.
